I chose to let you
inside my mind and
my soul and
even into my body.
You were my drug,
Toxic and unworthy,
but I am no longer laying
on the ground
where you left me.
I opened my eyes
and I can finally see,
I opened my ears and
now I finally listen.
There’s something you
need to know and it’s that
I beat my addiction.
