replacing the doll's springs w/ Tesla coils;

Wanting to have *** w/ the doll
Ivan brings the ****** thing to life
(thinking he is raising Aphrodite);

Newtonian Faust
waves the electric wand over the coils,
'She lives!"

it moves, stiffly at first;
its old lace gown musty after years
(possessed by the spirit of Hera)
