Rot Away
And so you say
Through seasons with the rain and snow
That I'm not trying anyways
And that I'm useless, so pointless
And so you say
That light doesn't come with the dark
It covers up the soul
Regardless of which one I chose
And so I'm sinking into the ground
Hoping that I can rot away
Leaving a untouched person behind
To grow
Into something that is nothing like the old me
And so maybe I can just, maybe
Finally be free
Of all the things that were holding me back
From all the chances I could have had
So just let me rot away
In peace
And give the seed a chance to sprout
Into something better than what it used to be
