In my selfishness, I wanted you to stay.
You held on for so long - such strength you showed!
But your body failed you,
Death's embrace you couldn't resist,
As you drifted in It's ***** into infinity.

Oh Death! I could never stay mad at you.
For you eased his pain and suffering
As you carried him through to eternity.

And my heart, though it still bleeds,
Finds comfort that you are at rest,
Away from this crazy crazy world.
Death! where is thy sting?
in memory of my father whose death broke me .
