When I go, don’t leave me staring,
I couldn’t bear to watch you cry,
Or see the damp patch on the ceiling,
In the moments after I die,
So close my eyes and give instant rest,
To a man who struggled through each day,
Allow me freedom from this life, grant this one request,
Close my eyes once I’ve gone and let me fly away.
