She looks around, lost again Wondering in her thoughts. Then she writes with her trusty pen And feels her stomach knot. She sees the boy she’s crushing on But knows he’ll never feel the same, Cause boys like him are always drawn To girls who’ll play the game. And she walks with her head down low, Careful not to look up. Fearful of what they will say When they all see her close-up. If only she knew what beauty she brings, To the world she thought she knew. Then maybe one day she would try to see things From a new point of view. And one night as she cried alone, Wondering if she did something wrong , The boy climbed up her lonely tree And told her “please stay strong”. The boy saw right through her mask And wanted to make her his But all he could really ask, "Was why would you do this?" As he pointed to her hidden scars She looked away in pain For even all the beautiful stars Could not blind her tears that fell like rain. The boy grabbed her hand and said I’ll promise you one thing, For until the day that I am dead, You will be my everything.
