Mammoth Descending
On a Saturday in June
I teleported brazen
To the far reach of nothing
In a wisdom pursuit
And I rumbled
Magnetic in my algebra
I sought to construct
In willful transgression
A purification logic
And voices made manifest
"Behave quest wanderer
Humble thine errand
You stand before those
Not of your station"
And I trembled
"Bleed me of consequence"
Said I unto the foundation
"Mine hubris knows not
Of humility damnation
As one who in seeking
Must loosen constriction"
And voices came delicate
"To quantify in earnest
All that is infinite
One must ascend
Finite perspective"
"Imagine the beast
In blissful stagnation
Asking a man
To divine inspiration"
And I wondered in protest
"Must one then assume
That beastly existence
Is wrought with restriction
Or bereft of expression?"
"Consider the spider
Spinning life love artistic
Or the mammoth descending
To live altruistic"
And I rumbled
On a Saturday in June
I teleported brazen
From the far reach of nothing
In a wisdom pursuit
