Dec 2017
Waiting impaitently for my thoughts to slow down
My hands and feet are shaking uncontrollably
Sweat is dripping from my face
As I lay down in an awkward position
With no energy to save my dignity
I fall asleep
Into more thoughtless spirals
Into a world filled with the blissfully naive
Unconsciously I'm humming
In my sleep
My world has shut down
And the world on the other side of the veil
The one we call our eyes
Is coming down upon me
There's no stopping it
I can't fight
I wish I could just
Stay asleep
