“Read your bible more”
That’s what I was told.
But dad, don’t you see?
The bible speaks out about depression,
It’s not just me.
“Your poems worry me”
But dad, they’re not that bad!
I write about my past,
I let my feelings go,
And this strengthens me,
Don’t you want that?
“I didn’t see it that way.”
Of course you didn’t.
Dad, I’ve grown tougher,
Become happier.
Don’t you worry about me.
