Truth and deceit are kind of the same thing. One tells you that you will never have what you want, yet the other tells you that you can’t live without it. Seventeen years, and she’s never understood her heart. Until this day, when all she wishes for is happiness. Truth is, she can’t have it. It no longer exists. But her heart is deceitful and tells her that she can find it. That one day, she’ll gain the happiness that she’s so badly longed for. Happiness and pain are kind of the same thing. One tells you that you will always have that someone to have and to hold. While the other tells you that this will all end in a horrid disaster. Pain is inevitable. He’s watched as she slowly withdrew. Hiding all her hopes and fear. Happiness and pain fight in his heart. Fighting 'til the death. But there will never be an end to this raging war because alongside all pain is happiness and with all happiness comes pain. The heart and the mind are completely different. Her heart said she wanted to be the one that made him laugh. That sweet, caring laugh that always seemed to remind her of the future she could have. Her heart tells her that she can have this one little sliver of love. Her mind disagrees and tells her of the lies that he must carry with him. It tells her of all the deceit that will wash over her like the darkness of a night sky. His mind knows of the happiness that is sure to come with that sliver of love but his heart knows the truth. The happiness isn’t real. It’s all a game. The game of life and of love. “Love is ******,” is the only thing his heart is whispering. Quietly at first and then louder, and Louder, and LOUDER, the closer he gets to her. Love and hate are the same thing. For without one, the other could never exist.
