There are few things that are
adventurous
dangerous
thrilling
in my life
And of these things, there is The Ride

Wrapping my arms around you
Palms resting on your stomach inside your sweatshirt pocket
You're my protector as we race ourselves
Through twists and turns
Winding roads narrow and wide
Windy, sunny, blissful summer weather

And though my hair gets knotty
My hands get chilly
My eyes get watery
It's beyond worth the fun and excitement that I share with you
