Piece by Piece
Patrol today, battle at night
Getting to tired to fight
Piece by piece my spirit drains
Blood from my friends leaves a stain
Sadness and pain of empty faces
Watching us from different places
Is the enemy hiding is dark places?
Piece by Piece the innocent rebuild
So many innocent people and soldiers killed
How do they find happiness amongst destruction?
Children play in the streets
Such a simple culture that continues to survive
It takes so much to stay alive
Piece by Piece broken spirits return
So many simple things I have learned
Patrol today, thank god no battle tonight
Pieces of me are over the fight.
No more battles, no more death
So many buddies turned to ****
Bodies and Spirits destroyed from that life
Going home and pick up the pieces with his my wife
Pieces by Piece my pain goes away
With the rise of the sun, begins a new day
