zigzag

kicking rocks picking daisies braiding clouds into my summer hair I chased the river and cut the ribbons out of the salty air not a moment of relief me a pretty petty thief stealing glances stealing words patch-working forgotten worlds my cramped bones flutter flitting looking for a proper fitting forgetting shoes under tables weaving comfy little fables sleek sly foxes owls wise ruffled feathers hidden prize can you catch me if I leave a whole deck of daises up my sleeve
