Poems
Dec 2017
take off
with the rising of the sun behind your eyelids
you hope to catch the bird
and open your chest, your ribcage
make a nest of your blood and sinew
the dull ticking of your clock-heart singing him to sleep
he catches your dreams and eats them
those worms
instead, you slept in late.
