Aug 2012
Here is an anthem for the worst week of your life.
The week you fail at everything untried.
So shed the skin,
Of the snake you've been.
Today start fresh and new,
Marked by nothing but the present.

Enough with the apologies,
Let's take responsibility.

And set our priorities.

I arrived defensive.
Imagining shouting matches before they happened.
I'll shed the skin of the snake I've been.
Start fresh and new,
Marked by nothing but the present.

Enough with the apologies,
Let's take responsibility.

And set our priorities.

Thoughtless actions define personalities.
Morals silently beg for mercy.
Shed the skin of the snake you've been.
And I'll shed the skin of the snake I've been.
