Families hold dog tags of loved ones lost

Fought for our freedom with pain and great cost

Families and friends keep memories alive

Watching from heaven pray their buddies survive

Gone but not forgotten forever they'll be

No more hurt, souls and spirits are free

We say their names in our  prayers

Forever in our hearts, they'll always be there

Battlefield cross, no soldier wants to see

Dog tags of friends, it could've been me

Their heads hang low as they pray

No one knows really what to say

They all kiss their dog tags and cry

Raise their heads to heaven GOODBYE!!
