Neurons buzz, hiss, crack;
A shower of sparks from an overloaded transformer – it’s too much;
My breath enclosed within recycled paper;
Her countenance repeating on infinite rewind, play, fast forward;
Until the moment has worn away - smooth and unrecognizable;

Ventricles fill, turn, flow;
An eyelash brushes away a puddle of lonely tears – it’s too much;
My breath enclosed between two lips;
Her warmth deftly singeing through my heart, mind, and soul;
A moment that truly is a memento – my dearest’s jardinière.
