Pilot Woman

As she stands there
Her unvarnished self
Looking at me with such candor
Her words expressed with brevity and clarity
With no wasted words

As she draws near
Coming closer
So composed moving with flair
Hand touches
Adrenaline rushes
And it’s just like we on a plane
And we turning on every switch possible

Aerodynamically moving
Feel the air as we travel
Taken to a far and deep land
And we nowhere near epiphany

Pilot woman
Take us far
You and me
I with you
Reach a place not seen in a blue moon.
