Shroud

In my dreams I walked through a cave

Surrounded by flashbacks

And the voice that put me to sleep

Seemed like a long walk

Till it was over

Not realizing till i woke up, it was deep.

Vague emotions create a history of our time

I’ve grabbed my guitar and tried to make our lust rhyme.

I did not learn how to play it

I learned how to love it.

I do not look back and try to hold

The river that would rush to the other side

In a second if you said baby

Vanish or ignore, just to hide.

I’m afraid of love

Run away as fast as you can

Before I try to cast a spell

And you would have to complain that he ran.
