I don't mean to get mad at you
while you're laying there
in the warm, twisted cotton, oblivious.
I don't want to hate you while
you breathe too loud
or talk too much
or do that thing where you
chomp down on yourself,
because this is you:
fully exposed, vulnerable,
and I just want you to stop,
but you look so nice there.
