Kati's Song

Crickets are chirping outsideBranches reach up to the blue skyAnd the butterfliesFloat way up high So many wondrous thingsBut the one, that makes my heart singA girl whose hair’s goldenShining like the sunHer eyes, a twinkling toneBluer than the sky Kati, you’re my sunThe brightness in my dayA day that’s just begunSo don’t set yetNo, don’t set yet Birds sing good morning to meTickle of grass under bare feetAnd the springtime airSmells so sweet So many marvelous thingsBut the one thing, that makes my heart sing A girl who’s hair’s goldenShining like the sunHer eyes a twinkling toneBluer than the sky Kati, you know you’re my sunThe brightness in everydayA day that just begunSo don’t setNo, don’t set yetDon’t set so soonOr else I’ll be left in the dark
