I knocked on Death's door asking if I could come in,
He told me, "Kid, you got all the things to live for."
Then slammed the door.

I knocked on Life's door asking for a drink,
She told me, "Kid, get your own drink, you've got your own hands."
Then slammed the door.

I knocked on God's door looking for a savior,
Nobody answered.
So I slammed the door
