I love the sad songs,
     Melding melody and words in a minor key:
The "Where", the "When".
      And, especially the "Why".

Frank does them best,
      Quietly insinuating
The power of his emotions:
             Loss, endings, longings - regrets.

I understand his stories
      And they move me deeply,
Although my experience
      Is so much more limited.

I think Frank must have lived a lot.
