Paris (Farewell)

His visage is reflected in my sad eyes,

that cry in earnest every night for his love.

He knows well that I live my life for him,

and without him, I don’t know how to breathe.

I yearn to hear the words of love,

words he no longer speaks,

words that exist only in my dreams.

It’s time to move on, this I know.

But he betrayed my heart.

I must accept this and go now,

the only way to end my love for him,

is to put an end to my craze filled daze.

Tonight, in the dark, with my sorrow and pain,

in Paris, the city of Love…the city of Lights,

I say.

I say to you,

I say to all,

Farewell.
