Dry wind Leaves wave goodbye You rake them into piles I missed the crunch beneath my feet The patchwork blanket of fall Shuffling stir of crisp remembrance We've little control at all
A hassle, you say Between swift step breaths I haven't known it once "The gutters are full the yards a wreck" "I'll burn them all away" Gaze upon those driven eyes My only concern what's for brunch
I struggle with form and working it into my writing. It seems everything ends up free verse. Anyways, little snippet of my illinois fall morning. Enjoy!
