Poems
Jul 2012
twinning
my mother I made her
black
so I would be humble.
I went as a soldier
into the silence of women
and found it lacked the peace
afforded hell.
I gave my only word
to my son, and he went off
with his sister.
I returned from the war
(took up with a man)
I was born with.
