Your mind was an open pit, a chasm that was open far too wide,
ready to accept any passing thought as truth and security.
Incapable to discern between truth and lie your identity made its home in any remark.
Seeking affirmation in the hearts of man while ignoring what your God has to say.
Blocking out who you were meant to be and replacing it with a societal normality. Telling you that you are your own god, that you are your peace.
with the same hand it gently feeds you these promises it will shove comparison down your throat. You are not good enough, you will never be loved. At least not sincerely. And how could a kid like you possibly contribute to greatness. You are nothing.
What seemed to be a promising hope that you were in control leads you to a restless and dark reality. When identity is found in what makes you happy you'll never be truly happy.
Truly I say to you, where there is light the darkness cannot overcome. You are not what the world says you are, not who you're expected to be, you are not another face in the crowd, you are not who you are trying to be.
True identity is found in your creator
