Riches

To the corners of the earth, I have wandered far and wide.

Eaten the best and drank the finest of life.

Friends I have made around the world,

To be sought by the greatest and was crafted for riches.

Lies have been shared, to soothe the wounded men.

Much tales have been told, my soul be ****

Danced with the devil, have I, night after night.

Trick or treat, was wicked fun.

Loneliness, it was…. at the break of day.

Contemplated, have I, to my head….the barrel of a gun.

Utterly meaningless, a wise man once said.

Status and riches, to no avail, when one is dead.

A great legacy, you said, you’ve left behind?

You have merely started, another cycle of a pathetic life.
