Rising
from my belly,
throbbing
in my heart,
trapped
by my tongue,
this tremor
fills my being
and explodes
to drop into
the space
between us.

Your eyes
watching,
seeing,
but not hearing
this deep,
silent,
deafening
scream that,
strangled
by description,
suddenly
dissolves
into a roar
of relief
and release.

As I fall into
the cradle of
awareness
she opens wide
her arms
to rock me
gently
Awake.

You blink
and I rest
in the moment.
