You're the perfect drug
every whiff of you gets me high.
Intoxicating fumes seep through my skin
tugging at my veins
and painting my world blue.

Just looking at you flips my life upside-down.
Ridiculous fantasies zig-zag my eyes
gluing you into every cardboard scene.
Just the wanting, needing, kissing and breathing.
Our lives swirl from black and white
to a pasty gray.

So they say "You had me at hello"
but it's not what hello can bring.
Your voice flips a switch and suddenly
memories flood my ears
teasing and tickling
suffocating every other thought.

What can I say?
You're the perfect drug
and being around you
just takes me away.
