If I could wish I wouldn't wish for second chances at tomorrow,
For all the gold on this green earth or extra time to borrow,
I wouldn't wish for fortune and I wouldn't wish for fame,
I wouldn't want for for everyone on earth to know my name,
I wouldn't wish to be a ladies man with all the game,
You've seen it once, you've seen it all, it all become the same,
I wouldn't wish for penthouse suites above the cityscape,
Instead I'd wish to land a fish while sitting by the lake,
I never wish for Beamers, a Bentley or a Benz,
Instead I'll smoke a joint and cruise the scraper with my friends,
I'd wish for happy prosperous times for everyone I love,
That they overcome their struggle and they grind and rise above,
I'd wish that both my parents wouldn't have to want for nothing,
And show them that their son grew up and he accomplished something,
I'd wish to help my sisters with their kids, they've had it rough,
But that's the reason why the blood that pumps through us is tough,
And I don't believe in luck, I just live it day by day,
So these days I don't wish for **** - I hit my knees and pray,
