Seething Twists Grin Jubilee
The monster seethes,
with pure rage,
twisting steel,
for my cage.
Lips parted,
a show of teeth,
rough and jagged,
like a coral reef.
I grin at him,
and give in,
to his love,
original sin.
I do this only,
to gain trust,
and to allow,
for bars to rust.
Sleeping now,
the monster lays,
loosened bars,
from their stays.
Squeezing through,
I will betray,
the trust I earned,
and slip away.
I run and run,
and I'm free,
emotions high,
it is jubilee.
