If the world came crumbling down tonight and every single person disappeared without a trace
Would you fight to stay by my side
Or say, “**** it, Goodbye”?
Can I trust you to keep me safe if you decide to stay by my side?
Can you truly fight the facts and not leave me standing alone here in this crumbling city with no heart to keep me company?
Can I trust you to keep trusting me?
Can I trust you to keep your promise?
How long will this last, I think
How long do you think we’ll last?
What about on this planet?
In reality,
Can we even make it?
Every day the sun comes and goes by
Just like the moon sticks around to replace the sun’s absent light
Every day I get older and get weaker
I need my body to keep up with this new life of ours and this pathetic weather
But I know someday one of us will be left behind
Like we were never even there to begin with
But I say, “**** it, I’m gonna try to make the best out of this and make a living out of the ‘now,’ before it truly hits me in the future.”
