As the fire burns
Such is their relationship
It begins and ends so similarly

The initial meeting
The spark ignites the kindling
Smoke starts to rise

Then the flame catches
Devouring everything it touches
Raging and roaring

The turning point
Do you add more fuel
Or do you let it burn itself out

At some point it has to be extinguished
The need and desire have ceased
All that is left is ash
