Need or Passion

Here I stand, amidst the violent sea,

On this rocky island, feeling the calmness,

Down I look and am baffled to see,

For there is fisherman, on a raft with mere two logs.

Then I start pondering what makes him there to be,

Need of bread or passion for adventure,

What makes the man to risk his life,

Puzzled I stand, for eternity may be.
