The Fire Burns
Poems
Aug 2017
Floating in the Grey Matter
an odyssey,
deep in the space of,
the grey matter corners,
of my mind.
filled with electronic pulses,
picture flashes,
of the past,
and the future.
loves lost and found,
static and music,
a maelstrom,
and a singularity.
swirling vortices
of serotonin,
and other transmitters,
forever in flux.
I hear a noise,
a question,
from a distance,
infinitesimally quiet.
God, are you there?
a voice whispered,
which is my own,
no, it is only me
