I know you hurt.
But the pain will fade with time.
I feel your sorrow.
But dry your weary eyes.

I will hold you.
When you feel you cannot stand.
I will heal your broken heart.
When you open up again.

I hear your voice.
Even when you do not speak.
I understand your questions,
and have the answers that you seek.

I will stand by you,
when the everyone else does flee.
I will carry the weight of the world,
if that’s what you ask of me.

I see your smile,
and how it masks your misery.
I taste the mercy on your lips,
and the bitter agony.

I will lift you up again,
if you should ever fall.
And if the world should find it cannot find you,
It is I who will miss you most of all.
