Day by day
I face the wretched nightmare of reality
No matter what I do
Nothing would ever change
The problems with no solutions
The diseases with no cures
The injustice with no justice

Day by day
I wake up just to find out that this nightmare won't end
That some people don't want to change anything
That some people think they can't change anything
That some people can't change anything
I ask myself the same question each day
What is there to do and live for?

Day by day
I walk around just to see the land plagued with injustice
Scales tipped on one side
Eyes tainted with a filter
Mouths operated through a script
Minds controlled by someone or something

Day by day
I go back home reflecting
on the undying evil lurking in the shadows
Why does it even exist
Why won't it leave me alone
Why do I deserve this

Today
No matter how dark it may be
Lighten up the place
If the light fades and dies
Change it again and again
Until you find the one that will last
One that will light up with a purpose
To be the everlasting light of the day
