A single bead at first
begins to run down my spine
turning into a torrent
as sol begins to climb.

Skin begins to redden
in the July sun
it's is not hard to tell
that summer has begun.

Mercury climbing up past ninety
even in the darkest shade
the beer in my Yeti never gets cold
the heat doesn't care how much I paid

Lakes and rivers, oceans too
the people flock to in mass
standing neck deep in water
waiting for the scorch to pass
