Smoke that twists and constricts my lungs
is the same smoke that will blind you
And the ropes won't stop you falling
they'll just take you somewhere else,
the sadness in your eyes will never leave
and like chains it tightens around your head
Lungs won't rise and fall as mechanically as they should
and I love how your weaknesses are killing me
Because I never stood for anything
I've fallen for another life
I'm ashamed, these walls won't forget.
I hear our footsteps and I think,
How did we fade so easily,
How did we dissolve into the carpet.
Confused and tired nonsense.
