You have his eyes, his temper too.
I don't think you realize he's here, in you.
You promised that you wouldn't be him,
But you know what they say; you can't always win.

You said that he was the one sole reason,
That your childhood was lost, was broken.

I can't believe it was all that bad,
He was after all your idol, your dad

But when you find yourself lost in rage,
You bring more than you into this war you wage.

It's like you become a whole other person,
And now it's me, the one that's hurting.
I promise myself I won't be like you,
But you know what they say; not everything's true.
