What do you take for granted?

The illiterate
Unable to read
Unable to write
Communication is dead

What do you take for granted?

The blind
Unable to see the world around
Seeing beauty inside
But, never out.

What do you take for granted?

The deaf
Music is gone
Voices are nothing
Never knowing sound

What do you take for granted?

The mute
A voice that is lost
No singing that song
Vocal expression...gone

What do you take for granted?

The roof over your head
Shelter from the rain
A place to lay your head
Shelter from the pain

What do you take for granted?

Loved ones
The ones there for you
Helping you through
Without...you are alone

What do you take for granted?

The beauty of life
Everything.
