A Mind to expose.

The midnight zone where creatures roam;

on the vast moors that surround you or is it lurking underneath a stone.

A death defying monster could be in his cave or is he in your home;

in the darkness, things can change from knowing quickly to the always unknown.

The feelings strong that there's a presence but you're sure you're all alone;

a mind of faces to haunt you while synapses have transmitted and grown.

Creaking floorboards and a dripping tap and your blood inside your veins have rapidly flown;

It's stranger than you think when the mind centres to those that terrify but not necessarily shown.

An image in your head corrupts every nerve in your body to the point of stillness when imposed;

an imaginary line that you've crossed without knowing and imagination has you in its grasp completely and utterly exposed
