Abstract animosity
I bring news from the void
All is not well
I haven't slept in days
I'm high on sunbeams and pondering muted static
This is no place for a sane mind or innocent persuasion
I've never been inspired by peace
so I suppose I should have expected chaos
I never could understand an easy distraction
so I was left with an excessive amount of time
Delusional toys for minds susceptible to malfunction
My only scenery is a cardboard cut out of the cosmos
Oh what bittersweet displays it provokes
A misplaced monster comes knocking
Faceless with a cup of rain for my soul
It has no place in the world so we get along famously
Often times I surrender my curiosity to the ridiculous
I starve it into submission and never stop
I talk hysterically in empty spaces
Dawn dazed and the birds wont stop screaming
life stays sequestered behind plaster and window blinds
A small reprieve from the concrete choked landscapes we traverse so heedlessly
My body is currently in a state of sabotage
No peace for an exhausted ghost
Anatomy wrought with numb mechanics
I laugh for something resembling sanity
My echoes fall behind and that old familiar tick descends
Panic until the ink spills reason even if I'm the only nod
It consumes like sickness and I begin the pace patterns
Understand its all for nothing
Chain smoke until the lungs revoke my right to oxygen
I found stability while begging for an erratic intervention
I found my words provoke more than an easy reaction
Maybe I can perceive a fine tuned world
One that spins rationally
still I see faces unfurl
Smeared with pollution and haphazard expressions
Slow motion vanity for the casual observer
temporary worlds blissfully sidetracked
I am the stranger that I never intended
