Caribou Crossing

Caribou crossing on the main road in the early morning
His eyes are so wide and clear as if he could see the whole world dawning
Tall and sleek with huge antlers born of protection and a slightly bearded mouth calling
He is animal of ages past and my feeling is that he belongs there without humans gazing
We know nothing of how his mind works as he us and that is nature both evolving and protecting
Many secrets do animals have and only by watching you will learn there is logic in all existing
The Caribou and many other animals won't be long for this world I like to think because we are not worth the beauty and gracefulness of their being
