When Are We Ever Ready?
I am damaged with wounds to heal.
No salt spilled in the gashes of my soul.
Which maybe the cause for the infeaction of the heart.
Where I force love to be removed so I don't have to feel pain.
Inflicted by your actions alone.
Me crying and pleading to God above.
To tape my mouth shut so I don't spew hatred on the account of my pain caused solely by you.
Knowing the one thing I never wanted to be is hate.
When love is prying at the gates of my walls.
Screaming in fear to let it in!
But what if I won't be able to survive your next encounter?
This is where I run...
So don't follow...
Because love all this just says to me I'm not ready.
Love asking in a calming voice back to me when are we ever truly ready?
Most of us find love in the hardest of circumstances. But their is only two choices and that is to let fear win or to let love in.
