May 2012
Shining under L.A. spotlights now
The nights spent drinking and sleeping under a million stars in Carolina
Playing hide and seek underneath the bridge

Crazy antics every night
From singing in the rain to brawls in the bar
Never again shall we know this

And we are moving on, moving up
Finding that it was merely just one of one nights
Moving on with someone new, moving up into a higher place in the world

It all seems so far away now
The places we were meant to be
All of it a distant memory

You gave me false hope into remembering that it was forever
The places we were meant to be, the memories we were to share, were never going to exist
I feel the memory of you, the resonance of your voice turning to white noise

All that you said, all that you were
All the time that you gave
Gave me enough to change my memories
