When I sleep, I dream of sleeping,
And I wish when I'm awake.
That maybe I am dreaming,
Because the pain's too much to take.
The moon light's become my sunshine,
The nights become my day.
That is the fate of any man,
Who's sold the world away.
And it seems I can't replace it,
And god's not willing to sell.
At one time my life was heaven,
Now it's turned to hell.
Regret I've payed many times over,
But my mind refuses to rest.
If only I put more time into living,
But now it's too late to invest.
So I sit here thinking slowly,
My body wasting away.
Dreaming of sleeping, and praying I'm dreaming,
As I crawl through the day.
