Red Carpet

It feels like there’s a carpet lined in front of me

A red carpet of destiny

Behind me another carpet vast

Of things I’ve gone through long since past

Sometimes when things don’t go your way

You got stuck and it ruined your day

But when the day is ending soon

You find yourself lucky until noon

You never notice when good things come

My life is horrible but it’s just begun

Maybe you don’t realize what you’re doing

It’s all written down but you think you’re losing

But maybe you don’t believe

Maybe you don’t like

The idea of someone

Writing your life

But sometimes you may feel

Like the world is against you

I believe it’s meant to be

What about you
