May 2012
you kept me for as long as nature would let you,
then alone, in tears, they cut me from your torso
just like the two before
they were with fathers'
along with the first.
coco puffs were had in celebration
zach the lego maniac is not who i am
covered in your slime
separated and washed in a blanket,
now you can have me back,
i'll feed
i love you
though the blonde is now faded
i'm your little boy all the same,
just with depth in my voice
and that like my fathers' on chin and cheeks
you tell me i have such a nice face.
wrong i've only done to you and him
you him and i hug and wipe eyes.
things have changed,
distances are farther
talks grow longer
with no shame i'll shout,
i love her
pointing at you
my lovely mother.
